FAQ

  • What are Gadding Tiny Homes Classified As?

Our Tiny Homes come with an RVIA sticker that classify the tiny home as a “Park Model RV”.

According to the RVIA: a Park Model RV is a unique towable RV designed to provide temporary living quarters for recreational, seasonal, camping or travel use. Please note that some counties will allow these as a permanent residence or Tiny Home.

As they are an RV they do not have a wind rating - however they can be tied down similar to a mobile home.

  • How do I Insure a Park Model RV?

For personalized advice on selecting the right insurance policy for your park model, it's best to directly consult with an insurance provider. Below are some companies that offer insurance options potentially suitable for you. Please note that this list is not an endorsement, but rather a starting point for your own research:

Covertree: Specializes in park model home insurance and covers various regions across the U.S.

Allstate: A well-known provider offering insurance for mobile homes nationwide.

Roamly: Focuses on insuring part-time rented tiny homes and RVs, making them a possible fit for park model rentals.

Stratum: Offers insurance policies tailored specifically for park model homes throughout the U.S.

  • Where can I Park my Park Model?

Many RV parks, Tiny Home Villages and certain mobile home parks accommodate Park Models.

If you're considering placing one on private land, consult your county building department to inquire about the possibility of placing a Park Trailer or RV Park Model on your property. Remember, Park Models are classified as RVs and adhere to RV construction codes, not HUD Manufactured Home standards. In these counties (which you should verify with your local authority), you might also want to ask about regulations for efficiency units, mother-in-law suites, or accessory dwelling units.
